The climb to Mount Teide from Las Américas is a classic, so much so that it often becomes a great route in itself: it's almost 50 kilometers of ascent with nearly 2,500 meters of elevation gain.
The beginning is often a bit chaotic with the local traffic, but as you ascend, civilization fades away and you gradually immerse yourself in a spectacular setting.
Be patient, pace yourself, and enjoy the incredible climb to the base of the great volcano.
