The Befehlhof in Vetzan, known for viticulture since 1370, is now run by Magdalena Schuster. The winery specializes in the production of fruity, mineral mountain wines, with a philosophy based on creative freedom and organic farming. The Befehlhof was the first Vinschgau winery to cultivate Riesling and is committed to the reintroduction of the ancient Vinschgau grape variety Fraueler.

Varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Noir thrive on the winery's slate soils. Since 2013, the vineyard has been cultivated organically, with a particular focus on spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention. The Befehlhof also created the first Vinschgau sparkling wine, the "Sällent," made from Pinot Blanc and Riesling.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Afternoons and Saturdays by appointment at +39 0473 742197 or +39 335 5455197.
