At the entrance to Arendsee, the former passenger ship "Seeadler" stands as the town's landmark. It was erected by the Arendsee Tourist Association to commemorate Arendsee's maritime tradition. Due to the high maintenance costs, which exceeded the association's financial means, the ship was later handed over to the operator of the neighboring rest stop, who has since taken care of its maintenance and preservation. Today, it serves as a striking symbol of the region's maritime history and welcomes visitors to the town.
