Well-paved most of the way, passes along the fringes of some villages. some of these are religious, so you might arrive at locked gates on weekends, in which case you'll have to find detours. the southbound direction is easier as it generally slopes downwards. Breathtaking views, flowers in winter-spring are spectacular. summertime can get hot so pack enough water. rest of the year is fine.
