Located approximately 200 meters above the Inn Valley floor in the middle of the Martinswand, the Maximiliansgrotte (Maximilian's Grotto) is a 26-meter-wide and 19-meter-high natural cave. According to legend, Emperor Maximilian once sought refuge in the grotto after getting lost while hunting chamois.
