In 1632, during the Thirty Years' War, the nearby pilgrimage chapel "Maria Schray" was destroyed.
According to legend, the image of Our Lady flew into a hollow oak tree in the Neidling Forest.
Since the image's return, which was later replaced by a statue, the Our Lady's Oak has been venerated.
Renovated in 2022 and relocated to a young oak tree.
