The building was erected between 1922 and 1929 based on a design by architect Rastelli. The consecration took place on July 1, 1935 by Bishop Ersilio Menzani. Inside there are works by Luciano Ricchetti. The copper portal is the work of Luciano Fornasari and was made in 1966.
