The current situation results from a reconstruction of a moated castle in the 17th century, with the adoption of older elements, including the keep from the end of the 16th century with minor adjustments in the course of the 18th and 19th centuries. The main wing consists of a high square keep to the east, a two-storey wing of seven bays with a protruding round tower to the north, and a lower square building or chapel to the west.
