Hiking
Merchia is one of the few beaches on the island that is not necessarily sandy, but covered with pebbles. The water is deep at the shore and there are no beach facilities. Next to the beach there is a rocky outcrop in the sea and there stands the white chapel of Agios Nikolaos.
