The Sanctuary of St. Joseph in Prudnik-Las is a unique place combining history, spirituality, and the beauty of nature. Situated on the edge of the Prudnik Forest, surrounded by greenery, it forms part of the Franciscan monastery complex. St. Joseph's Church was built in 1866 and is a destination for numerous pilgrimages.

A particularly important period in the sanctuary's history was the years 1954–1955, when the interned Primate of Poland, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, was imprisoned here. Today, visitors can see the cell where he was imprisoned and learn about its history.

In Prudnicki Forest, next to the sanctuary of St. Józef and the Franciscan monastery, two objects of small sacral architecture were erected. One of them is the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. The grotto was built in 1903 from volcanic tuff brought from the Rhineland. (...) The second object is the tomb of Christ. It was also made of volcanic tuff. The sculptural composition shows Christ being placed in the grave. There are figures of: Christ, Mother of God, Mary Cleopasowa, Mary Magdalene and St. John the Apostle and St. Nicodemus.
