The Kirchspitze (323m) with the Friday Temple (donated in 1874 by the pensioner Freitag) with its great view of Marburg Castle is one of my favorite places. You used to be able to see the spiers of the Elisabeth Church from up here. Unfortunately the trees are now too tall for that. The Friday temple was repaired for the Marburg800 city anniversary and a seating area (donated by the Lions Club) was added nearby. Unfortunately, both have now been daubed with graffiti again.

The Friday Temple on the Kichspitze (323 m) currently offers a particularly beautiful view of the Marburg Castle with the beautiful May green of the trees. The steep climb from the Elisabeth Church and the Michelchen is definitely worth it. It is and will remain one of my favorite places.

Today (08/27/2024) I was at the "Friday Temple" again and was shocked that the graffiti on the pavilion and the benches had increased. Even the roof was not spared and was smeared underneath. One of the benches in the seating area was ripped out with brute force and moved to the Friday Temple along with the heavy concrete blocks from the seating area. Garbage had also been simply left behind. Who would disfigure this beautiful place like that? Simply awful!
