Manzanares el Real is a Spanish municipality and town in the Community of Madrid, with a population of 8,840 inhabitants (INE, 2019). In the municipality, located at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama, La Pedriza rises, where climbing and hiking are practiced. It is located on the shore of the Santillana reservoir, formed by the waters of the Manzanares River. Among its heritage is the Mendoza castle, in good condition.
