The Roman Verecundus ran a pottery in Soller from the end of the 2nd to the 3rd century AD for bowls, which spread throughout Lower Germania and even as far as southern Britain. The coveted goods were stamped with his name and are known as "Soller Mortaria". Since 2022, the small "Soller Village Museum" has been exhibiting products from this pottery as well as numerous other Roman finds from the village, including the fragment of a local water pipe. The museum is run entirely on a voluntary basis.
