The 60-ton, 21-meter-high copper statue, installed at a roundabout in Prey Nop district, represents Preah Thong and Neang Neak, the legendary co-founders of the ancient state of Funan. Facing the sea, the statue depicts the couple's journey to the Naga Palace in the depths of the ocean, known as Than Phu Chong Neak, symbolizing the birth of Cambodia's land, culture, civilization, traditions and customs.
