The discovery of slowness....
The Grander Mühle is a gem in the countryside, far from the city.
A country inn for individualists with a noble rural ambience.
The restaurant offers unfussy, authentic Italian cuisine in the

Behind the beautiful half-timbered facade with its countless lattice windows, a mix of different styles awaits you. The furniture has been lovingly brought together from abroad or made according to old models. Lamps from Italy, fabrics and tableware from France and old craftsmanship from northern Germany and Denmark.
In the morning, guests can expect an imaginative breakfast buffet in the style of a manor house with many small delicacies in the opulently designed barn. Wooden beams, white linen, mirrored walls, acrylic lamps and chandeliers in a contrast of history and modernity. A stage for enjoyment and sensual pleasures, breakfast buffet is also available until midday on request, right outside the door or somewhere in the garden when the weather is nice.

The grain mill, which was once responsible for many villages, is located on the southern, Lauenburg side of the Bille and is now a well-known inn.
The historic mill building is a rectangular, single-storey half-timbered building on a granite foundation and has a hipped roof covered with clay tiles.
The undershot mill wheel, renovated in 1985 and 3.50 meters in diameter, is mounted on the gable wall facing the Bille. Two rows of planking protect the half-timbering from splashing water.
A separate mill ditch leads from the Bille to the mill. The wooden dam consisting of two sluices is built over the Bille in line with the northern long wall.
The interior of the mill still largely shows the mill's original room layout: on the river side behind the external mill wheel is the grinding floor with the grinding mechanism and in front of it the flour parlor, behind that storage rooms and the former stable room.
The other half of the building contains the former living rooms, the kitchen and the large, open fireplace built in the middle of the house, as well as the guest rooms on the street side.
