Domaniewice, as a village of the archbishops of Gniezno, had a church already before 1357, probably from their foundation. Before 1359, the archbishop of Gniezno, Jarosław Bogoria Skotnicki, established the local parish. At the beginning of the 15th century, the parish was so extensive that for the convenience of parishioners in the neighboring town, Głowno, in 1427 a second church was founded, as a branch church. Over time (in the 17th century), a separate parish was established at this church.
