The Vorderer See is the much larger of the two Lahngangseen, which lie in the Styrian part of the dead mountains. The water is crystal clear and remains very cool even in summer. In any case, you can cool your tired feet after a long hike in the lake water.

From Grundlsee up to the Pühringerhütte. A wonderful hike, even when the weather is not so nice. Take enough drinks with you as there is no other place to stop for a bite to eat. Highly recommended, lg Crawallo
