A scenic rest area and car park with a "Pou" (an artwork in the form of a pole or column) by Maori artist Ross Hemera. Besides the large, 14 m high main sculpture, there is a stone/metal structure and a group of iron "figures", or small Pou, at the edge of the area. The inscription "Nau Mai, Tauti Mai" means "Everybody is welcome".
