There is "a little Palatinate" in every Eschbacher

Franz Xaver Meyer's dog "Charly Brown" reveals where you can see the popular cigar smoker at Pentecost

"Happy Birthday and all the best for the next 750 years - and stay healthy, folks!" These well-meaning wishes come from the mouth, or rather from the snout, of the best friend of a very well-known man: "Charlie Brown", the favorite four-legged friend of Xaver Meyer, the artist known here particularly for his drawing of the "little Palatinate", wants to congratulate the Eschbachers. "Folks, nothing can stop me at Pentecost, I have to go to Eschbach. For those who don't know: The Derfel clan, located just outside the long Palatinate castle ruins, housed a few hunners of Johr the Donkey Knights, from whom the Eschbachers owe their honor to Uzname. Yes, and in Eschbach they just celebrate for four days - because it's hot somewhere, Eschbach is 750 years old. And that's why the local people make a huge party of the Pingscht celebrations. In the past, the people of Eschbach used to be proud of what donkeys were considered to be, but they are all proud of their donkeys. And anyone in Eschbach who lives on their own needs a donkey. And that's why I - my master, Franz Xaver Meyer, and I - care about the donkey. He simply took me with him when he brought the donkey to Bender Michael and his family in the Madeburgwäch. My master had milked the donkey, and now we can admire the little Palatinate on the animal's back.

I think that in Xaver the donkey from Benders turned out well. Especially for the anniversary the donkey - which I think belongs to Xaver - even has eye shadow on its face and black patent leather shoes on its legs. And I put on my prettiest collar.Xaver - the little Palatinate man The little Palatinate man can be happy that he doesn't have to walk through Eschbach, but can ride on a donkey, because we don't know how round the legs get after drinking a few Schöppelschers of the good Eschbach wine. As we know, the little Palatinate man is guaranteed not to let you take that. And if the "balance disturbances" should cause too much celebration, then he can simply stay in one of the beautiful guest rooms in the estate of Bender Michael and his Martina. Of course, my master, Xaver Meyer, lives and works in Landaach in his studio on Oschtbahstrasse and makes drawings, illustrations and etchings! He also studied in Marburg and Landaach. And apart from me, we only have one best friend, and that is the pure Palatinate." All of you, dear Eschbachers, celebrate and remember what Xaver, his best friend, always says: "There is a pure Palatinate in each of you!" (Source: “Die Rheinpfalz”)
