The former forestry office used to be a hostel, but today the Paschenburg is a panoramic restaurant. There is a viewing tower in the immediate vicinity. From the Paschenburg you have an excellent view of the Weser Valley and even the Lippe Mountains. In good weather it is possible to see the Hermann Monument above Detmold. The Ith, Süntel and Brocken are also easy to see.
