This section is called "Comans Track" and is part of the long "Hillary Trail". It can then be added to the "Mercer Bay Loop Track" and offers further phenomenal views of the coast and other bays and mostly runs through a fascinating jungle. It ends in Karekare on the long and impressive beach there, where you could even continue walking on the Hillary Trail. It is worth it, but together with the Mercer Bay Loop it takes about half a day to walk.
