According to our tour guide, this mosque is one of the oldest in Turkey, if not the oldest. It is estimated to be around 650 years old. Recently, it and the surrounding grounds have been beautifully renovated. The whole place consists of many abandoned and dilapidated historic button houses, but is gradually being converted into an open-air museum. At present, there are only a few residents.
