Dreamlike landscape. Just because the path runs so exposed on the cliff edge it is even more impressive.

  • ATTENTION ⚠: Coastal walk northThe coastal path to Doolin has been officially closed by the Clare Local Development Company due to safety issues along the route. The walk to the south side towards Hags Head would be a safer option, please stay away from the edge.

  • If you want a little quieter you should either dodge to the southern parking lot or continue to the north-east.

  • Meanwhile, Hag's Head is unfortunately fenced and the tower is no longer accessible.

  • Hag's Head is the southernmost point of the Cliff Route from the Cliffs of Moher. It is recommended to start the way from here. There is a small private and cheap car park, which is also served by the shuttle bus (paddywaggon) from the visitor center of the Cliffs.

  • Great views and then you can here in the south up to the edge of the cliffs.. the way from the visitor center is partly a few meters away

  • The hike on the cliff path is worthwhile from the parking lot at the southern end (Hag's Head). There it is not as crowded as at the visitor center.

  • Breathtaking. Duty on every trip to Ireland. Unfortunately, all the other tourists see the same, which means that here bus-wise excursionists are carted.

  • The cliffs are definitely worth seeing. For anyone who is traveling individually, should start the path along the cliffs from the south. There are fewer hikers on the way, as there are no tourist buses here.

  • Very nice terrain with different ways to the tower and to the cliffs with a unique view. If you arrive in the evening, it is not so crowded and you can enjoy the sunset.

  • I recommend doing the Coastal Walk completely. We had long stretches on our tour without meeting other people. So you can enjoy nature for yourself. At the lookout point near the parking lot, people romp about.

  • Sm best start south. If you're lucky and there's no wind, you can go up to the edge here

  • Beautiful, but be careful with wind. The parking lot is close by.

  • Great hiking trail right on the cliffs. It's worth starting from here. The parking lot can also be approached by paddy wagon. Then you can do the Coastal Walk as a route hike to Doolin.

  • Wonderful view for those with a head for heights. Hike not very strenuous, as the altitude profile is balanced.

  • A must on any Ireland trip. If you're willing to walk a few steps, you can save the parking fees in the main lot and park in one of the smaller lots along the trail's edge.

  • In the main travel/holiday season things really get going here... there are sometimes traffic jams on the hiking trails... these, also for the daring among us, but please don't leave for a great selfie... otherwise it might be the last

  • The Cliffs of Moher in Ireland are one of the most popular and well-known destinations for hikers and nature lovers. The cliffs offer breathtaking views of the Atlantic wilderness and the Clare coast. The highest point of the cliffs reaches 214 meters and offers a panoramic view of the area. There are several hiking trails along the cliffs, varying in length and difficulty. The most famous trail is the Cliff Walk, which is 8 km long and takes visitors along the cliffs. Here you can enjoy the wild beauty of nature and gain insight into Ireland's geological history. There are also shorter walks, such as O'Brien's Tower Walk, which is 1.5km long and offers great views of the cliffs. However, visitors should always exercise caution and follow safety instructions as the cliffs can be steep and dangerous. It is also advisable to wear sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing as the weather in Ireland is often unpredictable.
