On the way to Hardt, the route crosses the valley of the Nister around 700 m southwest of the Hardtermühle on an eleven-arched, around 300 m long and around 40 m high viaduct, which was then the largest structure made of stamped concrete in Germany Construction company Hüser & Cie. was erected. The connecting line was opened on August 31, 1911. In 1957 the viaduct was extensively renovated, with the massive concrete parapets being replaced by filigree steel railings
