The Hallenberg bakery was built around 1664 and has been a listed building since 1984. It is the only one of the four former quarterly bakeries in Hallenberg that has been preserved. The bakery is still in use today and residents bake bread in the brick oven according to traditional recipes. The house can be visited as part of a guided tour (e.g. the night watchman tour).

In front of the building is a bronze sculpture created by Boris Sprenger. The sculpture depicts a baker's wife offering three loaves of bread from a wood-fired oven and is called "Our Elli" in memory of one of the last bakers.
