Guardian Tree relieving misfortunes
A long time ago, when the village fell into ruins due to spread of disceases, an old, white haired mountain man, came and advised the villagers to plant a Guardian Tree. Following his advice the villagers planted a good looking health Zelkova tree found on the montain. Then the village regained peace and health. Since then, this 800-year-old Zelkova tree at the entrace to the village has been treated as a Guardian of the village.
Copied directly from a plaque at the site, not worth a special visit but if you happen to be near by then go take a look, it's not often you see tree's of this age.
