Portillo Larraurena

The renowned Portillo is a ski resort located high in the Andes mountains of Chile, near the border with Argentina. It is not associated with 'Larraurena'. The name 'Portillo Larraurena' appears to be a misunderstanding or a reference to a different, less prominent location, as the famous Portillo is distinctly in Chile.

The Portillo ski resort is situated at a significant elevation of approximately 2,880 meters (9,450 feet) above sea level. This high-altitude setting contributes to its excellent snow conditions and stunning mountain vistas.

Given the resort's isolated high-mountain setting, there are no independent cafes or pubs in the immediate vicinity outside of the hotel's offerings.
