The town hall of Zörbig is a listed building in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt.

Zörbig was already mentioned as a town in 1258, but did not receive municipal privileges until 1470. The town wall was built in the 16th century, but not much is known about the town hall. During the Thirty Years' War, the town was hit 15 times, so that it was completely destroyed. Zörbig was only able to recover from this in the 19th century.[1]

The current town hall was built on the east side of the market in 1846, with its defensive-looking north tower with battlements on the roof. It initially had a pointed helmet on the tower, but this was removed in 1899.[2] The building also housed a savings bank and a town hall cellar, so that the town hall was the social center of the town for a long time.[3] It is a listed building and has the registration number 094 90028 in the monument register.[4]

The building's architectural style is striking, as it is a late Gothic variation of brick Gothic, which is rarely seen in Germany. There is a balcony above the entrance, and on the facade there is a relief panel of an angel holding the city's coat of arms. It is still the seat of the city administration today. Between 2009 and 2013, the town hall was remodeled inside.[5]
