The Roth Factory Museum focuses on the Leonian weaving industry, which was crucial for the industrialization of the town and shaped Roth's development in the 19th century. The process of using a gilded or silvered thread to produce fine yarns and fabrics originated in Lyon, France, the center of weaving.

It was brought to Roth by the Huguenot George Fournier and expanded on a large scale by the braid manufacturer Johann Philipp Stieber.

At the Factory Museum, an impressive guided tour demonstrates the journey of the wire to Leonian fabric using working machines. The individual stages include drawing, flattening, the various forms of further processing on spinning machines and looms, and packaging.

In 2003, the Factory Museum was awarded the Bavarian Museum Prize by the Versicherungskammer Bayern (Bavarian Insurance Chamber).
