This old Croatian church was built in the last quarter of the 9th century. during the reign of Branimir, the Croatian prince of Primorsky Croatia. The church was built by the "Cetina county governor Gastika (Gostiha)" in memory of his mother and his sons, as recorded on the found fragments of the altar fence.
