On the Kohlberg⛰️, at 514 m the highest elevation in Neuenrade🧭, is the 14 m high Quitmannsturm🗼 -
an observation tower with a fantastic view of the Sauerland🎨⛰️.The tower, donated by the sons of the Neuenrade teacher Carl-Friedrich Quitmann, was built in 1892. But before the planned inauguration, a hurricane destroyed the tower in the winter of 1893.
In 1986, the city of Neuenrade renovated the 14 m high tower.
