The state estate was built in 1733 by the Bönnigheim bailiff Franz Xaver Grimm and named after his wife Katharina. A changeful owner's story has since experienced. The most well-known owner was certainly Dr. Carl Friedrich Goerdeler, former mayor of Leipzig and participant in the Hitlerattentat 1944.
