The Eital-Summerholden nature reserve consists of the south-west facing flanks of the Eital and short side valleys and is mostly covered with forest. There are also moist ravine forests with dense undergrowth. The Bruderloch cave is also located near the Wasserflue. As in other caves in the region, a colony of bats lived here, but it has disappeared due to frequent disturbances.
