The coast breaks at a pace of 0.70 meters per year.
The distance is about 60 meters to the first houses. Also threatened is the pump house for urban sanitation; even closer to the edge is the youth home Kahlenberg. The trail along the coast has been laid at least three times inland, and should be relocated after the last Abruch. The pace of demolitions is very different. Mrs. Diehr called in the council meeting following numbers: since 1965 disappears in Schilksee south on the average annually 0.70 meters per year. At least 40 meters have disappeared since 1965 at the worst point.
