According to historical data, the church was built in 1865 (on the site of an older church from 1748, of which the sanctuary has been preserved) according to the decree of Emperor Francis Joseph with a donation of 1000 forints. It is a single-nave, properly oriented building with a narrower rectangular sanctuary, a sacristy next to the sanctuary and a belfry in front of the main facade. It was blessed by Archdeacon Fabijan Sokolić from Pazarište on October 30, 1865.
The church has architectural value and historical stratification, and is harmoniously integrated into the environment of the settlement.
