Hiking

The Altbessin is a scenic and natural feature of the island of Hiddensee. It is both a nature reserve and part of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park. It can only be entered via the gate in the north and there are a few rules and circumstances to be observed. Sheep occasionally graze here. Adders have also been spotted.
