In the middle of the 18th century, Leopold Nicolas Freiherr von Ende commissioned the creation of the maze. With an area of around 2,600 m², it is the largest of the few remaining historical hedge mazes in Germany. The hedges consist of two meter high hornbeams. Only recently, new hornbeams were planted by the support association, which is very committed to preserving the historical complex, in order to repair damaged areas. In the center there is a viewing point from which you are rewarded with a view over the maze and the adjacent park.
