Honestly this shouldn’t be marked as a EuroVelo. Even on a Sunday the traffic was bad, lots of trucks. The worst part is between Orsova and Portile de Fier. Small shoulder. The bridges have a protected section but they are difficult to get on and off of so you may have to dismount the bike. Two short tunnels with concrete block footpath. I walked in one of them. Avoid this section if possible.
