The little church was a branch of the main parish church and since it had its own income, it subsequently became a mansion, chaplaincy and curacy until Bishop Mons. E. Beccegato erected the Parish of Fontanellette on 15 May 1942. On 9 March 1953 the first stone was laid for the construction of the new church, the current one, which was blessed and opened for worship by Bishop Mons. G. Zaffonato on 30 October of the same year; the project is by the architect L. Candiani of Treviso.
