Hiking
Since 1998, the Aukrug Association has been carrying out rewetting measures in the moor.
In spring 2023, 130 individual dams were created, and in autumn 2023, major earthworks took place.
For this, the vegetation cover was removed over a large area. This is how this landscape was created from a former meadow.
The long-term success will become apparent in the coming years.
