The rock carvings aren't the easiest to find. Coming from Schmie, an inconspicuous path begins at the edge of the small wood. Almost at the very end, turn left into the forest. Follow this path to your destination.

Worth it! 👍

The pyramids, or rather necropolises, are located on the "other side of Schmie" (Schmiemer Gorge)!

This impressive collection of very large cairns in a quarry directly on the edge of the small village of Schmie stretches for approximately 700 meters and is completely embedded in the rock of the plateau above the Schmie valley. A nearby spring, in this case the Schmie stream, appears to have determined the location of this, as well as other necropolises. Today, the cairns are completely hidden by a small forest.
