The US military base in Ansbach (U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach, short: USAG Ansbach) forms the strategic air traffic hub for the US land forces in Europe (United States Army Europe, short: USAREUR) and as such enables a standby platform for a strong Europe; a major USAREUR contribution to NATO and its allies and partners.

The task of the US military base Ansbach is to provide administrative support to the military community stationed here. This includes providing a social security and supply network, as well as an appropriate infrastructure within the barracks of the USAG Ansbach, in order to provide ready-to-use soldiers and rotation units for a strong Europe.
