Coming from Wurlitz, the Jakobuskirche with its dome and church tower becomes visible as a striking silhouette. The round building was "orientated" and angled and added to the nave in the last century.

Cycling

The development of St. James' Church is closely linked to the local nobility, the Kotzau family, who ruled the region for several centuries. Noble family members were buried inside the church. Several epitaphs on the interior and exterior walls of the church, for example by Georg Wolf von Kotzau, still bear witness to this. The original village cemetery was located around the church.
