Koziołek Matołek – a literary character created by Kornel Makuszyński (text) and Marian Walentynowicz (color drawings) in one of the first Polish children's pictorial stories, which was published in 1932. This character is still popular, despite the fact that decades have passed since the death of both authors, and the described and drawn adventures of the title character do not necessarily correspond to contemporary reality. This pictorial novel belongs to the canon of Polish children's literature. The story of Koziołek Matołek is considered a precursor in Polish comics.
