On the edge of the Goldenstedt Moor nature reserve, an underground exhibition room was created in which a four-meter-high, original moor profile can be admired in cross-section. Curved wall panels and scenically lit stations give the building a mysterious impression, which also includes the bog body Jan Spieker. In addition, many other people and their relationship to the wet habitat have their say:

Peat cutters talk about their arduous work, Romans report on the difficulty of building roads in the inhospitable area and archaeologists show why the moor is so valuable as a historical archive. The mystical atmosphere in the building is accompanied by gusty wind noises, pelting rain and lonely crane calls as an audio installation.
