The Grangia di Pobietto is a large agricultural estate, historically part of a network of estates linked to the Grangia di Lucedio. The settlements by the Cistercian monks contributed significantly to the arrangement of this portion of the territory. From the 10th century AD they founded various abbeys, starting with the Benedictine abbey of San Genuario, in the municipality of Crescentino, to the more important Lucedio, in the municipality of Trino.
