Appen-Etz Gravel Lake

Very nice place to rest. The display boards put up inform you about fauna, flora or geology and in summer you can take a refreshing dip in the cool water.

The Appen-Etz gravel pit is located approximately 4 km southwest of Pinneberg, west of the town of Etz, near Hamburg. At only 24,500 square meters, it's more like a small gravel pit, but it quickly becomes deep.Just three to four meters from the shore, you can't stand.The lake is 10 meters deep at its deepest point.The lake's water quality has been rated "very good" by the district's environmental agency.
