Built between 1831 and 1833 based on a design by architect Giacomo Tazzini, the "Ponte Cavriga", one of the four bridges that cross the Lambro river inside the Monza park, has a single elliptical arch in ceppo, with parapets made with stone columns connected to each other by an iron structure.
There are several rumors that try to explain the derivation of the name. The one that seems the most truthful states that the name derives from the Lombard "cavra" (goat) because it is said that goats used to gather to graze along the banks of the Lambro near the bridge.
