Simply fantastic: The hut is picturesquely situated on a saddle between Buchstein and Roßstein. On nice days, however, there are quite a lot of people shoving themselves into the hut. Even on the way, the number of hikers sometimes reminds you of a caravan. The climb to the hut is steep, but doable. At first through the forest, later with a view of the mountains and (if you want) a little scrambling over a short via ferrata. The food at the hut is delicious and plentiful, and there is also delicious Tegernsee beer.
