Fortified coastal tower erected, like the others scattered along the Salento coast, following the ordinances of the Kingdom of Naples issued between 1532 and 1563 by the viceroys Don Pietro di Toledo and Don Pedro Afan de Ribera, to protect the territory from attacks by Saracen pirates.

It is located on the plateau where the Bosco Caggione extends in the Pulsano marina and dominates the bay of Lido Silvana.

Built in 1568 with carparo ashlars, it has the typical truncated pyramid structure with a guardhouse on the terrace. An external brick staircase leads to a single internal quadrangular room illuminated by two opposing windows. From here an internal staircase allows access to the terrace.

Unfortunately it is currently closed and in a state of abandonment.
